Local Lawn Transformations
Each property tells a different story. Explore some of the lawns we’ve helped strengthen through customized care, organic-based fertilization, aeration, overseeding, and targeted treatment programs.
Re-Establishing Turf in Shaded Areas

Challenge:
Several shaded areas along the property’s tree line had gradually become covered with moss. Excess moisture and limited sunlight prevented healthy turf from establishing.
Solution:
We removed the moss, adjusted irrigation practices, and aerated and overseeded the affected areas using a tall fescue blend selected for shade tolerance.
Results:
The moss-covered areas were successfully restored to healthy turfgrass, creating a more attractive and functional lawn throughout the property.
Balancing Lawn Space with Natural Habitat in Leelanau County
Challenge:
A homeowner wanted usable lawn space while preserving the wetlands and natural habitat surrounding their property.
Solution:
We identified areas best suited for maintained turf and areas that could remain completely natural. A targeted fertilization and weed control program was implemented only where lawn use was desired.
Results:
The property now provides healthy, functional lawn space while maintaining valuable wildlife habitat and preserving its natural character.

Correcting Poor Site Conditions for Turf Establishment in Traverse City

Challenge:
A commercial property had recently established new turf, but poor soil conditions, compaction, and debris were preventing healthy growth.
Solution:
We removed excess debris, aerated compacted areas, incorporated organic material, and overseeded to improve growing conditions before beginning a long-term maintenance program.
Results:
The lawn developed stronger density, improved coverage, and healthier root growth, creating a solid foundation for future fertilization and weed control services.
